Lately my little girl has been obsessed with phones. She absolutely loves to talk! I have been trying to help her with her speech so that not only will I be able to understand her better, but so that she will know if she is saying things right as well. I was very excited when I found WhisperPhone! Not only is it a new toy for my girls, but it also will help them read, and it will also help them with their speech!
This is the WhisperPhone Element. It is a hand held device that looks like a phone, and it makes it to where you can hear your own voice while reading or talking. My little ones love running around with these!
The WhisperPhone Solo is just like the Element and helps your child hear themselves when they talk. The cool thing about the Solo is that it is hands free, it sits on your child's head like a pair of headphones, or like the headsets we use. My oldest brings hers up to me everyday to wear it.
Our favorite is the WhisperPhone Duet. It's great because both of my girls can talk to each other and hear themselves at the same time. They remind me of the old cup and straw trick, where you place string on the end of two cups and you could talk to each other. But these actually work, and don't involve an arts and crafts mess.
I love that these products can be used as toys but also help my children learn. As a child I had a lot of problems with speaking clearly, so as a mommy I want to make sure that they have every resource that wasn't available to me when I was younger. Already my 2 year old is starting to speak more clearly, and starting to talk more because she knows that she is saying the words correctly. I highly recommend this to anyone that has kids that are either learning to speak or learning to read. The WhisperPhone products definitely put my mind at ease about my children having speech problems. I am so happy to have ours!
